My right.

You said Tito impressed you more than Machida in that fight. If you're retracting that statement then fine, and of course it's your right to not like him. You don't have to like someone to be impressed by them.
Tito doesn't deserve more respect AS A FIGHTER then the person who definitively beat him in a fight. Maybe he deserves more respect as a person for being "braver" or showing more "heart", but as a fighter he was far inferior to Machida.

Bonnar took more damag against griffin. The fight was stopped by the ref pretty early.

i'm not sure what the conditions were in the fight but I guess it was the wind that split bonnar's face open rather than Lyoto's strikes.

I'm impressed by whoever is the better Martial artist, regardless of how aggressive they were. Winning the fight impresses me because it shows me your the better fighter. I could care less how "scrappy" you were while getting your ass kicked. Any drunk can be scrappy, but it takes superior Martial Arts to WIN in the octagon.

Great, another person's explanation of why they don't have to like Machida's style.

Go back and read my quotes. I aid I dont like tito but started going for him in the lyoto fight. I said his attitude in the fight 'captured my imagination' more than Lyoto's.
I never said "I was more impressed" with Tito. Obviously Lyoto was the better fighter.
My point is for whatever reasons I want, I dont have to like lyoto or enjoy watching him fight.
Like it or not, you cant make me like Mhida, or tell me I dont appreciate" MMA because I dont.
I guess Im not making that clear - are you a slow learner?

Oh, of course, Machida has faced some of the toughest competition out there. Let me clear this up I don't think Machida is boring, I don't hate Machida. I simply think that a fighter's ability to finish his opponents should be considered when evaluating their skill. Obviously what I think does not and should not have any bearing on Machida's standing in the LHW division. However personally I do not believe that Machida is one of the most skilled fighters of the LHW division, even with his impeccable record.

Ok - whatever. You have effectively owned yourself in this back and forth by proving the point of the thread.
Which you seem to have missed.

I don't care if you like him, it's all about respect. If you're a bigger Martial Arts fan you should respect Machida's performance more than Tito's. If you don't you're not as big a Martial Arts fan as someone who does. That was my only point, and it's 100% correct.

well said. i respect your views as it seems you are a genuine poster who thinks before he randomly posts nonsense. We will just have to see how Machida does in the future when he is sure to continue facing the best of the best in the LHW division.

The original post was borderline retarded, and we all get the point. No one can make you like Machida, and nobody wants to make you like him.
All I've done is try to teach you what Martial Arts is, and explain to you why people who know what Martial Arts is wouldn't consider you much of a fan of it. I'm sorry you don't like it, but you can't force people to believe you like Martial Arts any more than we can force you to like Machida.
