Why?
He fought his heart out - he knew it was his last hurrah.
Lyoto ran away and landed some VERY limited (though admittedly effective offense).
Who you going to go for? a spirited, aggressive fighter, or an 'elusive' brilliant coward?
Remember UperCut---Upp-UppeerrCuTTT...The fighters are supposed to fight their fight to win, not fight the other guys fight to lose.

Tito fought his heart out and lost. Couldn't take Machida down and put his Ground and Pound on. Machida uses his head and skill.

That I'm a big Machida fan but the guy has his own style and fights smart.

Agreed. My point is if I dont like watching him fight doesnt mean I dont 'get' him.

This thread is irrelevant...Celine Dion doesn't have fans.

agreed but it's been said before (not the dion thing but that machida fans need to chill and understand not everyone is going to like him)

I'm with the TS 100%. Machida fights = Beer/Piss/Smoke break.

Nothing will put a bigger smile on my face than someone knocking Macheeta out. I don't hate the guy, I respect his skill... But his fans piss me off, and I can't for the life of me find it within myself to enjoy watching him fight. I've tried to several times, but just grew more and more tired of him.

Anyone who thinks that if a fan doesn't enjoy Machida's style... that they're "ignorant" and not "true MMA fans" are just talking out of their ass and really have no clue WTF they're talking about.

I will say this over and over again. Those who do not like to see Machida fight are on the lower rung of MMA intelligence. There is no shame in being less intelligent and less refined. It's akin to people who don't drink Trappist beer, really.
