I think it's important to see the 'Machida hate' for what it is: nobody here really hates Machida, some people just don't find him entertaining. It's the fans that keep insisting that if you don't like Machida, you must not like MMA that's causing all the hate.

Yep, good call. I think many Machida fans just "get" the fact that he's techically skilled and use that as a cheap excuse to feel smarter/better than other people. Maybe even without understanding what Machida does.

BTW. I always try to watch Machida's fights because they're interesting, but I never root for him.

To argue over if Machida is boring or not is as useless as it is to discuss what coffee is best. Obviously this is a matter of personal taste. Some people se a passive dodger and some se a intelligent striker. I belong to the last category.
