The rest of us know (technically) she has a great voice (great skills, elusive, misdirection etc)
We know she probably has decent songwriters (coaching team) She sells tickets (Machida can headline an event)
We understand and appreciate MMA (tell me I dont, I'll just laugh at you)

I don't think your comparison really holds up because Machida can't sell out a crowd; Celine can.
Celine is a good at what she does but she is also an entertainer.
Machida is good at what she does, but is not so much an entertainer, and no one but the hardcore would pony up the cash to watch up like they would Liddell, Couture, Lesnar, or Ortiz fight. He probably has as much pull as a Nogueria match.

i definetly see why so many people are irritated by machida's style.. when ever i see him fight im so gratefull that i actually like him.. i bet its really frustrating to whatch him decission ur fav fighters..
