Biased judges had nothing to do with Rampage losing since he would have lost as long as the judges knew the rules. That said I agree that Rampage has a better claim to the title shot since he was the champ and has beaten a higher ranked opponent than Machida in their last respective fights.
I hope Machida will be second in line though and I would certainly not ask "who has he beat" in a general matter since he has fought tough opponents.
rampage was the more effective fighter wheras forrest mostly shaddowboxed. You have to rewatch the fight because after the second round legkicks were from no relevance. Griffin-Rampage
I like fighters who are well spoken and respectfull, Machida falls into the same catagory as Franklin and Mir in that respect.
Then again who doesnt enjoy a lil trash talkin too

machida is right but he doenst deserve a titleshot yet. Who has he beat??? Even when he beats thiago he still hasnt fought a great fighter.. he has to win one more after that against elite competition. to the guys who say he deserves the titleshot more than rampage who lost his title because of biased judges and won his next fight against an top5 fighter in Wanderlei by knocking him the hell out in the first. I indeed think he should have gotten the instant rematch against forrest "paperchamp" griffin.

Since when did people on losing records suddenly get ranked higher because there past opponents are doing well. No one should ever be ranked higher based on how well his past defeated opponents are doing. Especially after this long.
