Look how educated ESPN's boxing fans are about MMA!

Check out the well informed responses to Dan Rafael's story about UFC and HBO talks breaking down.

http://myespn.go.com/s/conversations/show/story/3051318

This guy knows his stuff

"I am happy that HBO is not stooping down to cover human cockfighting. As a sportsman who enjoys boxing, baseball, football, basketball, etc. MMA is NOT a sport in that vein. It is street fighting, cage fighting, human degradation...people get arrested on the street for that type of fighting, and in my humble opinion, our society has enough problems without supporting this type of "sport". In the MMA fights that I was able to stomach (for less than half an hour), I could only imagine it to be like the Romans vs. the Christians with lions in place of the MMA fighters. Finally, besides the senseless violence, most of it ended up being boring wrestling...too much rolling around looking silly. Thanks HBO for keeping sports above the theatrical..."

MMA's not for everybody. Dan Rafael's a really smart guy. and Ive talked to him and he has nothing against MMA. Look at this site how many fans badmouth boxing, it goes both ways.

This thread just goes to show how crap sherdog can be - a decent topic to start with and then followed by five dumb comments before anyone makes a relevent response.

I don't understand the arguement that boxing guy makes, it's just rediculous
