Is it really the US fans fault that they don't know who he is? It just shows you that PRIDE has done a very poor job of marketing it's events in the US. No big deal. A man shouldn't have to be a walking encyclopedia of martial arts just to enjoy a good fight.

I am concerned about Pride in the US. The NSAC will not allow the following:

1.NO Soccer kicks, foot stomps, or kicking downed opponents.

2. No open weight class tournaments or 265+ fighters. Mark Hunt or Zulu would have to seriously cut weight- But I doubt Zulu is still in MMA.

3. Which leads to no freak shows or fighters wearing gi's. How about sambo uniform sans the wrestling shoes.

What I think will work, Pride likes to have these dramatic and entertaining introductions, this defintely compliments the glitzy atmosphere of Las Vegas. I love the way how DSE merges the comical productions of profesional wrestling and the hard hitting reality of MMA.

And if its true that Fedor will be fighting in Vegas, if he puts on an exciting show I think he will be a superstar in the US that even the "nascar people & fratboy/jocks" will love him.

90% of those Vegas crowds are not true MMA fans - it's a cool place to be and show your face type of crowd

These threads are so predictable and weak. I especially like the posters who admit they didn't see the fights but still comment on the fans alleged non-reaction to Wandy. The place went crazy when they called out the Axe Murderer.
