Notes From UFC 78 Autograph Session & Weigh In
First the autograph session:
- It was Clay Guida, Matt Hamill, Marcus Davis, and Gonzaga.
- Line was not too long but was in it for awhile cause they seemed to be taking their time with the fans which is cool
- Clay Guida was IMO the coolest one. Matt Hamill seemed a little shy, but cool as well. Davis seemed a little cocky but not a bad guy. Gonzaga seemed to be having fun lol big smile for everyone cool guy, english not too good.
- Free Xyience drinks, yay...
Weigh ins:
- Walked in, sat down for 5 mins then saw Corey Hill. Not too many people seemed to recognize him, but he was veeery cool. Said January 23rd is when he returns to the octagon.
- Fighters started coming out to take pics with fans/autographs. Ed Herman seemed drained, not too talkative, still gotta give him props for sucking it up for the fans.
- Houston Alexander is huge. Was definitely with the fans for the longest. Awesome guy conversing with everyone taking his time with the fans seemed really cool.
- Joe Lauzon was another cool guy who had no problems having conversations with the fans.
- Spencer Fisher was having a really good time with the fans, another great guy.
- Karo and Lytle were with the fans for a little bit too, didn't get to meet them.
Actual Weigh ins:
- Gono took a good 5 mins to take his clothes off. I don't think anyone was too familiar with him cause most the people around me thought he was mentally challenged not realizing thats Gono at his antics.
- Everyone got a look at Thiago Alves ass.....
- Lauzon - Reinhardt staredown was intense
- Bisping - Rashad was weird. Bisping initiated the confrontation by shoving his head on Rashad's. Rashad in turn shoved Bisping like as to say 'cmon man don't start that shit' and then Bisping just kinda smiled and looked at him as though to say 'its in good fun'. I dunno intense but weird you'll see later in the video
EDIT: Ended up in front of Frank Edgars family on the weigh in line, trying to call Frank to get in through the fight club member entrance. His brother looks exactly like him. It was cool. Also saw Rashads brother Lance with a few people all wearing Rashad shirts
