Liddell Vs. Wandy Makes More Sense.....

After reading this quote from Jeremy Lappen, the CEO of the World Fighting Alliance.

“I have been told that [UFC matchmaker] Joe Silva is calling our fighters telling them to leave us," Lappen said. "They are so scared of the WFA, they are so freaked out by what we are doing that they can’t have me in their venue. Look at the Wanderlei/Chuck announcement. That would never have happened if the WFA was not around. We have caused Pride and the UFC to work together to stop us.”

Not too far-fetched of a claim I'd say.....

It's all fucked up now.........haha. I dont think Pride like the UFC, because the Pride fighters are gonna ruin the UFC's top players.

uh no
WFA is flattering themselves
they havent had a single event put out and neither UFC nor Pride need to worry about it yet

the biggest reason for this fight is because Pride wanted it to happen
and guess why?
its because Pride wants to set up shop in the US
the best way to gain the UFC fan base is to expose Silva to them
then the UFC fans would hopefully know what Pride is and watch their events

Pride is the biggest benefactor here(not counting the fans)

Completely agree with Gerlin here.........I foresee Fedor eventually fighting the UFC heavyweight champ.......or killing the champ. literally. I'm not joking.

you're smoking crack to even consider the WFA, who is putting on a card with an announcer (for the record I love Bas and hope he wins, but he is an announcer now) vs. a "Never was Been" (kimo- look at me, I lost to everyone who was someone in the 90's) as their main event, even in the same league as Pride or UFC. I love Rampage, but Woogie is too ugly to ever be on free tv, much less PPV, and the rest of their lineup are has beens.

That's possible. If the WFA brought us Silva-Liddell, then it is already worthwhile.
