Liddell vs. Shogun - Page 3

Shogun is great. I think he's no 2 in the world....I think Chuck is no. 1.

Shogun by Brutal KO early on. Gettin rocked by Lil Nog who himself has great standup is different than getting rocked by liddell. With Lil Nog he had to worry about getting takin down and possibly subbed where as Shogun would have the advantage on the ground vs liddell if it went there. Liddell is somewhat overrated and Shogun simply outclasses him as an all-around striker.

You guys forget that unlike babalu, some fighters actually make a gameplan for certain opponents. A lot of people seem to think Silva or Shogun would just storm out and start swinging. They know as well as anyone else how powerful chuck is and I'm sure they would make a gameplan to avoid that.

Wand and Shogun wouldnt rush in like idiots but both of them are far better strikers than liddell if you ask me.

Of course people use Lil Nog as a base for an argument because it shows that someone who is smaller than Chuck and has less punching power than Chuck dropped Shogun and to add further to my argument Shogun does not have the take downs that either Randy, Tito, or even Randlemen have and they couldn't take him down or in Randy's case hold him down (except for the first fight). So, this fight would stay standing and more than likely Chuck will knock him out.

However, anything can happen in a fight, but if I were a gambiling man which I am I would bet the farm on the Liddell.

But .. I just don[t get it..Wandy throws 2 punches.. this "leftish hook thingy" and this "rightish hook thingy" which standing flat footed, trying to defend nothing.

*that* part of his standup is "not good". He has great kicks and knees..for sure.. insane knees.

Shogun is definately the most well rounded striker out of the 3.

I just figure this early in his career.. Shogun is more ripe to 'get caught'... get caught up in themoment.. sense he has Chuck hurt and chase him (bad idea).

Shogun, if he returns healthy and the arm is okay.. if he 'magically' was 3-4 years older with some more experience.. he'd kill both of them..

But right now.. young kid.. coming off an injury.. lah lah.. I dunno..i'dpick Wandy or Chuck to take him *shrug*

I truely hope Shogun comes back strong.. I mean.. damn folks.. can anyone even imagine how psycho he is going to be to watch in like 4-5 years?
