Liddell vs. Jackson not so fast?

Chuck Liddell has now beaten Ortiz for the 2nd time..So whos the #1 contender??
Many people and myself included want to see Liddell fight as many times as he can before he retires, 3 times a year just isnt enough. 4 and I'd be happy, Jackson now in the UFC looks to be #1 contender..??

and the UFC wouldnt want to put him in a big match in which new fans have only seen him fight once and it was a snooze, much like Nate Marquart.

So now Liddell and Jackson seems like need to face another opponet before they face each other..so who do they face before

Forrest Griffen>..well i think this would be intresting fight and will deff build Rampage with the State fans..but Griffen may be protected for awhile after his loss
Babalu> This would be the best match up..MMA Rank #6 vs. #7..but i don't think Babalu would get a rematch if he won, This would be a great match but risky for UFC but Babalu is good..kinda same type of senrio when Chuck faced him at UFC40 and UFC didnt want him to cuz could lose stock in chuck if he lost.
So that comes down to 3 fighters.. sadly all TUF fighters..for both Chuck and Jackson to face..
Jardine, Rashad and Bisping..and since they r going to the UK mybe a good main event?
i hate to say it but really thats what the LHW division has come down to...all TUF fighters...
so match them up...who u think will face who or if u got another idea lets hear it cuz i wana know!!!????

i think whether or not page loses beforehand, they will have to fight soon because the $$ involved in a fight to avenge chuck's only unavenged loss would be too much

Cmon now. Do you really think that Rampage doesn't deserve to be #1 on UFC's LHW list? 2 months ago when Babalu won 10 straight I'd say yeah make page wait until Bab get's his shot, but not now. Rampage shouldn't even have to fight Eastman, he should just get the shot at Chuck but he probably wants a warm up fight and to build his name in America.

The LHW division is really fucked up IMO. I know no one agrees with me but Jardine, Griffen and Rashad are not on the same level as Chuck and Rampage. If Chuck beats Page, he's basically on easy street until he chooses to quit.

Now or later. They are going to fight. The money potential is too high. I personally think Chuck takes it but it would be close - but who knows. To get the most money out of this fight, they need Chuck to be champ so it might be smart to go ahead and get it on but not likely Chuck will loose anytime soon before a Rampage fight. But anything can happen. Rampage could loose 2 in a row and if Chuck is still champ, the fight would be huge b/c of Chuck needing to avenge his loss. Of course maybe Chuck wants Rampage for a retirement fight and they are waiting a bit. Who knows - but it will be a great fight regardless and I hope it is for the title. It will happen.

Rampage requested 2 or 3 warm-up fights before he fights Liddell.

He's knows he isn't the same fighter he was back then, and Rampage needs to gets his confidence back up and shake off all the ring-rust.

They will be very careful on who they give Rampage before he faces Chuck. They will probably give him matches he can win. Tito only had to beat Forrest, and Ken x2 and he got a title-shot.

UFC doesn't have too many tough LHW's to challenge Rampage with anyways. Even if they put him against Babalu, Rampage will maul him, it's just a bad match-up.

I imagine this fight is on the top of Chuck's personal priority list, and Dana's. It will not be too long. I think they put him against Marvin to score a couple nasty slams and/or a knockout and he will then likely face chuck.

get Vera on a diet and give him some extra cash - that would be the best addition to the LHW for the UFC.
