if chuck beats evans that should not make him number 1 contender, even if he posts back to back wins. jardine, if he beats silva is still more deserving of a shot at this point.
and chuck vs. evans is not main event material. isn't this two times that evans has been the headliner and not a title fight. correct me if i am wrong and his fight with tito was not the main event.
You have to understand the situation that the UFC was in. The main event was supposed to be Liddell vs Shogun but somehow in training he re-injured his knee so they had to come up with a new opponent for Chuck. With so much of the LHW division are already tied up they had just a couple of choices. Since Evans was already training for his scheduled fight against T. Silva and they want to push Evans they chose him. Personally, I think they should have picked T. Silva for him instead but it wasn't a horrible choice, not great but not horrible either.
Anyway, Chuck wins this fight. Tito was working Evans over most of the fight and if Tito can control Evans then Chuck certainly can. Chuck has a huge reach advantage and I think Evans will find it very difficult to get in range for him to hit Chuck and on his way in he will be eating punches from Chuck. He will get frustrated and start going for takedowns with Chuck stuffing the attempts (and nailing him on his way in) and even if Evans gets TD, Chuck would get right back up. It is just not a good match-up for Evans.

This is a win win fight for me. Rashad needs a loss, the guy goes into the cage like he is protecting his undefeated record. The guy has so much talent but is way to timid in the cage and needs to learn to let go every once in a while.
I personally see this being a very boring fight Rashad is going to be deathly afraid of going at Chuck and Chuck is a counter striker so you see where that leaves us.
There is too much humor involved here. The comments by Rashad are just killing me! "I can also fight this whole fight striking if I want to." Yeah. Sure. And get ktFo. This guy just.. gets to me. His complete lack of humility isn't even cute in a Ricki-Lake-ish kinda way. Especially since he really just is lucky to not have lost his last 2 fights. He is crap. This time an elite fighter veteran will expose him completely. Rashad has no chance to win, and I'm really enjoying his lack of prudence for taking this fight. Because after the loss to Chuck he will no longer be able to plausibly convince himself that he is a fighter. The Rashad story ends in London. Inshallah!
