Let's have Mirko Cro Cop vs. Chuck Liddell

They're both VERY similar fighters. The biggest difference is why they lost focus and started losing. Chuck because of his party animal lifestyle and I believe the reason Cro Cop is no longer motivated is because he feels like he achieved all he could ever do by winning the Grand Prix and now he feels like he's fighting for no reason, he says "ultimate fighting is my life."

Liddell has also stated in interviews that he wanted to go up in weight and fight Cro Cop and Fedor and some others before retiring. Randy Couture moved up to heavyweight after 37 and look how he turned out. Chuck (and Cro Cop for that matter) can turn their career around, all it takes is a big decision for Liddell or a win for Cro Cop and they're looking at an all new career.

Similarities:

- Both well decorated fighters despite being one-dimensional.

- Liddell is 20-5, Cro Cop is 22-6, similar records.

- Liddell has more accomplishments on paper but they have equal resumes in my opinion, especially with Liddell coming off two straight losses as well, but granted the caliber of his first loss (Jackson) was higher quality than Kongo and Gonzaga combined... realistically speaking.

- They're both the posterboy strikers for each major org. Liddell represents UFC and Cro Cop (in a way) represents Pride FC.

So crocop could kick his head in? Yea Crocop had 2 bad fights but I'd take him over the iceman any day man...

You saw Jardine hacking away at Liddell's leg and body...times that by 20 with Crocop.

If Jardine can be relatively timid and beat Liddell what do you think CC would do even with his newfound "style"?

I just want Cro Cop to get one more win or for Iceman to prove me wrong (for once).

Yeah Mirko might have a hard time with the way Chuck blocks kicks with the side of his body.

I'd agree with this. They are both rumored to be wanting to "retire". They both talked about the possibility of retirement.

Chuck has always wanted this fight, he could easily move up to HW.

As crazy as all these "dream fights' sound.....this one does make sense. Why not. Chuck walks around at about 220 from what I hear....Mirko fights under 230...

Why not?

Yeah why not is right. This fight might put one of them into retirement, but on the upside it might help swing the victor's career back into focus. I am a fan of this match-up
