Chuck/Wandy in Pride

When Dana announced the fight, he said that it would take place "right here in Las Vegas". Not the UFC, or the octagon. So I am assuming that this will be the pride event in Vegas. This seems like a good idea, it will help Pride sell tickets in the US, and I am sure that the UFC will get a decent cut of the profits too. I think it is bad for the UFC, good for Pride, and great for the fans.

Sorry if this was obvious, but I didn't see it posted anywhere else, and some people were acting like Dana had just signed Wandy.

Also, if Wandy wins the GP, he would have a really busy year, he would be fighting twice more (on the same night) in the GP finals, and then Chuck in November, and Fedor at NYE. Wow.

Would that still be considered the long-rumored Pride event in Vegas, or would there be another Pride event there in the near future? If anyone knows.

Are there any fights lined up on that card yet? It just seems like the UFC actually signing Wandy would be a bigger deal, and Dana would have slipped the words octagon and UFC in there 8 or 9 times.......and he didn't ask Wandy if he wanted to be a fucking ultimate fighter, so come to think of it, I am skeptical about the whole thing now.

if the deal actually happened, i doubt pride would just throw theit biggest star into the octagon like that.

i'm pretty sure it's going to be some sort of a joint event.

Pride is October. Dana said he's got him in a 3 fight deal. Sounds UFC to me but who knows.

I missed the part where he said it was a 3 fight deal. That is interesting. I hope he cleans house in the UFC. I would like to maybe see him fight Arlovski, who won't have alot going on in the next year or so.
