Uh, if you're refering to the grappling (throw) then yes, it is legal.

See some of Machida fights if you want to see it done like a pro.

Lol yeah, throws are legal. Spikes are not.

The real question is, is it possible. Before Boestch did it, I would've said no.

You're not supposed to be able to throw a 205 pound man upside down like he was a child.

Dedicated Machida fan here, and I'm sorry that Boetsch throw owns the shit out of anything Machida's ever done (throw-wise).

Sure. It was a throw; unfortunately, the guy lands on his head. Unlike a pile driver designed to land someone on their head, this throw inadvertently does it; if the cage had not been there, he would've rolled through the throw.
