I saw Faber fight for the 1st time yesterday and thought of this matchup. Gomi/Faber would be a war.

To be honest I don't think many fans including myself are very familiar with the 145lb division. But it's gonna be cool that WEC will be the US flagship for the smaller weight class (145), so in the future we will be more familiar.

While I understand that (barely) I also don't understand why people would match a person who cuts to 160 lbs up with a guy who walks around at 150, and competes at 145 lbs.

It's like "lightweight, featherweight? Sounds the same to me."

Oh, and God bless the WEC for promoting it. I just hope they can lure the Shooto players over.

a 154 SHOOTO Gomi vs a bulked 155 Faber would indeed make for quite a war.

But I'm going to have to take Gomi's size and monster heavy hands over Faber in a very close bout.
