king of colosseum II

i was just wondering if anyone here owns this game?

i've had it for about a week or so and it's extremely addicting. suprisingly, the MMA fighters you can unlock play very accurately.

anyways, i was hoping somone could help me out w/ a few things.

- when loading an unlock template, how do you load the parameters? it doesn't let me?

- how do you unlock rickson gracie? i've unlocked almost all the MMA fighters but haven't been able to unlock rickson gracie, how do you unlock him?

- after winning a fight, is there anything special you can do? it gives you quite sometime to walk around and punch/kick the air after you've won a match, i was wondering if there was anything else you can do during this time.

thanks!

1. Once you download the MMA fighter template you need to look for the parameters belonging to that fighter. All the fighters in the CAW comes with all atributes but you just need to look for them in every section.

2. You need to finish one of the seasons (MMA season or one of the Pro-wrestling with a MMA fighter) to unlock Rickson. Also you can`t lost any match coming to the finals.

BTW Rickson is one of bosses in the season so you need to beat him in order to unlock it.

3. No.

Just run or move around but nothing else.

Finally, check GameFAQs.

There are more detailed guides about all the fighters and seasons.

Man I'd love to get a mod chip or something for my PS2 over here and try that out, it sounds awesome. I can't read Japanese though so I'd probably have to guess on a few things lol. It's not available in the states is it?

No.

Only in Japan.

The game is essentially a Pro-Wrestling game but brings these huge MMA section with tons of fighters from K-1, Pride, RINGS, DEEP, Pancrase, etc. besides the ring mats.

However, the game doesn`t use the real names because they are not under license from any company so basically fighter like Rickson Gracie are called Hickson Stacie or the Japanese MMA promotion DEEP is called WAVE.

Still it`s fun because fighters look exactly the same and all rings are exactly the same besides the name changes.

Nice... I know the name thing, because I've played a few Fire Pro Wrestling games where they have real guys but with fake names that sound similar to their real ones. I know for example one game had Bret Hart but they changed his name to Brad Love lol.

ROFL! YEAH, Royce Gracie is Ron Stacy on Fire Pro Wrestling. I remember when I first played it I went through and looked at all the fake names just to laugh at them. I remember on Fire Pro they had different organizations and one of them was called Blade, but it was exactly like the Pride logo, it even had the little lightning bolt and fist in the middle.

These are the types of rules in 1 vs. 1 but I have used Vale Tudo rules in tag team matches as well.

Puroresu - This is basic wrestling rules - rope breaks, pin or make
your opponent submit to win. If you're a wrestling fan
you should know what this is all this about.

Vale Tudo - In this rule set you can only defeat your opponent by
KO or submission only. You cannot get out of the ring,
hence whipping an opponent outside or to the apron does
not work. Each match is broken into rounds, but you can
freely set how many rounds (all the way to infinite)
and how long each round is.

Ultimate Crush - NJPW's variation of the shoot-style rules. Matches are
broken into three five-minute rounds. During this time
you must defeat your opponent by KO or submission only.

U-Style - UWF rules set. Match time is set permanently to 15
minutes, and is not broken into rounds. It follows the
shoot style rules, with the exception of the new TKO
rule. There will be a counter (at the bottom of the
screen) that starts at zero, and each prolonged knock
down will add one to it. When it reaches five you will
lose by TKO. You can shorten / handicap the match by
increasing the counter on either side.

American - Similar to Fire Pro's American Style rules; it follows
the Puroresu rule set, but all wrestlers can power up
by taunting (has the "Superstar" trait) and finishers
do much more damage (has the "One-hit Finisher" trait)
meaning matches will be much shorter, but more... uh...
flashier

MUGA - Not sure... like the American Style rule, but with
wrestlers having hardcore traits

Free - You can mix and match the various rule sets above to
create your own type of match

Yeah Blade is Pride.

The only licenses they can use without problems are the ones from Pro-wrestling.
