Kicking with shoes

What are the rules of the UFC, K-1 and PRIDE on kicking with shoes on? I once saw on FF that a UFC fighter was disqualified for "kicking with shoes". As far as I know most wrestlers, like those from Hammer House, don wrestling shoes in their fights, but I have never seen them kick out before.

Thanks and regards,
HammeredHouse.

I'm not exxactly sure, but I believe that the old rule was that you could wear wrestling shoes but not kcik if you were wearing them.

Unless you're talking steel-toe-capped boots or heavy leather shoes, I can't see the difference between kicking with shoes of not.

They only protect the foot & give more traction. It's usually a disadvantage wearing them as they make heelhooks & leglocks easier.

I thought this to but didn't Pete Williams knock out Mark Coleman with wrestling shoes?

In the early UFC's the rules changed from show to show pretty much.

Andrade got DQ'd for kicking with shoes because it was against the regulations for that particular show, however when Pete did it to Coleman ... there was no rules about it at that point.

Shoes are not allowed in the UFC anymore, but they are allowed in pride. Go to their websites and check out the rules and shit before starting stupid threads.
