Wand at 185

what do you guys thinks? I think he is a natural 195 pounder before he put on so much muscle that maybe also limted some of his speed. Could he make weight and what would be his perspective in that class?

He probably could make weight, but I am sure he has no interest. He was the Pride 205 champ for 5 years. Plus, the older you get the harder it is to cut weight.

Yeah that would be a good class for him, if not 170, he's not that big or tall.. but I think he likes to be as big as he can be (remember coming in at 220+ against Crocop) so there's no way he'll go down in weight.

I'd rather see Wandy smash up 205. Lot more entertaining fights there.

I'm sure that every contract communication that has occurred with Wanderlei since PRIDE's buyout or even before has shown interest in him fighting strictly 205, much like how CroCop could cut to LHW but wants to stay at Heavyweight. That's all speculation though.

I would love to see him go up against Anderson Silva in the UFC, but he has been 205 so long though. I like him more at 205.

Maybe he feels that he is one of the best lhw's in the world, and doesn't like to cut weight... so why should he?? If do think he could seriously tear up 185 if he could keep most of his power after the big cut...

Not really. He looks really deflated these days.
