And GSP asking for a title shot after beating Sherk is one of my all-time favorite UFC moments. That whole interview, actually.

No, I think he just meant he wants to fight a few of the contenders first to prove that he really deserves being in there, as opposed to the first title shot where he was just sort of arbitrarily slotted in.

Stevenson's thing was more a reference to St. Pierre and Franca's begging for title shots.
