I don't buy it.

It's not like Mr. Starnes wasn't engaging when rocked- he effectively avoided exchanges the whole fight. He was disrespectful to his opponent by giving him the finger, and he fought miserably. I have seen many rocked fighters go at it and at least try to gain an advantage. Kalib did nothing but backtrack the whole fight, and occasionally throw an insignificant jab.

This is a strange situation for sure.

A fighter has a bout in his native land but refuses to engage his opponent, prompting his own people to turn on him.

He taunts both his opponent and his corner men during and after the bout.

He attempts to clear his name on a public forum but instead antagonizes potential fans with sarcastic remarks.

It's almost like KS's goal is to piss off as many people as possible.
