Whatever. You claim you were 'trying to win' the fight, but after the first 6 minutes, you pretty much admit that your gameplan was shot because of a couple of big shots to the head, an injury to your foot, and a general inability to compete without getting inured further. Afterall, in your own words, you say that you "could either keep moving or get knocked out," and it's pretty clear from both your description and the fight film that at this point in the fight, by 'moving' you mean 'moving away.' That doesn't sound like the strategy of someone who is still trying to win. That doesn't even sound like the strategy of someone who is trying to save face, put on a show, demonstrate the Bushido way, or compete on any level whatsoever....

This is where the fight - and you explanation - stop making sense to me. If you were too injured and outclassed to compete anymore without risking further injury, then just stop the match. You have a damaged foot, it's a reasonable excuse and it doesn't waste 20 minutes of $44.95 ppv time that could have been used to show one or two of the entertaining and important dark bouts. You act like your only options were run or get injured. You're wrong. You could have avoided injury and not wasted millions of people's time and money by simply stopping the competition once you had decided that you didn't want to or no longer could compete. All the qualifying statements in the world won't change the fact that you chose to back away for 2/3rds a contest on the maincard of a major ppv in front of your country's fans because you were too shortsighted to realize that - and I'm going to underline this for you - You are a performer. You only get paid to fight because people are willing to pay you to fight. When you stop trying to fight you've essentially stopped doing your job, and if you're going to continue to hog the stage without any intention of continuing to perform, then you deserve all the backlash you get from the paying audience.

You are a professional, and you had a horribly amateur showing. Deal with the heat or find a new line of work.

Do you guys even like the sport??Pappy O'Daniel,combat_reaction, I like it because both stand up and the ground game is like a chest game and its very interesting to see people's skill at work. You probably just like the pain aspect right? Go train at a Dojo and learn more aspects of mma or just martial arts, you'll end up loving the sport more. Plus I paid over $600 for my trip, and i have no complaints, since i respect and follow the sport not the best ko's dvd's , the ufc puts out.

It was in montreal, in front of a crazy canadian crowd. I don't care what your reasons are Kalib you let your fans down, you let the people who paid for tickets or ppv to watch you fight down and you destroyed your name and career in the process. If you didn't think the pay was fair you shouldn't of signed the contract.

btw, this site isn't a half ass site its been around for years. So thats him talking. I can't push going to a dojo and learning about the sport and opening your mind enough. People play ball hockey because they like hockey, people should train in a art to further enjoy and understand the sport. MMA is hard to grasp for new people when ko's and submissions are such eye openers, it takes knowledge to pull that shit off not just raw strength.
