The criticism is warranted, just as football players and any other sports figures are fair game to the ticket buying fans. What is a running back fell down before he could get tackled on each play? Would you swing from his nuts if he came on here to explain his strategy in doing so? No, you would not.

It was a terrible, terrible performance and hopefully will mark the end of his career, or at least mark the end of people putting up their hard earned money to see him run from a fight.

As for your points above, they are beyond retarded.

1. He survived only by NOT FIGHTING. He wasted everybody's time when Kaleb himself stated that by the 2nd round he knew he couldn't take him down, couldn't hang in the clinch, and couldn't strike with him, and had a broken foot. That screams outclassed to me. The proper thing to do in that situation would be to concede the fight, verbally submit, or at the very least quit on the stool after the second due to injury and save us all from another round of non-fighting. The third round was totally pointless and a complete waste of airtime. This sport is not about surviving to the final bell and if Kaleb thinks that, he should seriously consider a career change.

2. Nate didn't find easy prey? Do you understand what a 30-24 score means? The only reason he didn't knock him out was that Kaleb ran, ran and ran some more. That's what people with broken spirits do, and the ref should have called at least two timeouts to reprimand him and deduct points for timidity and avoiding contact. Why on earth he didn't I have no idea, since the timidity clause was tailor-made for a fight like that.

Another thing: Kaleb says he's already found a promoter willing to pay him more than Zuffa did. If it's true and I seriously doubt it, cool for him. I know I won't be watching and I doubt many others will.

Yes, he was outclassed. It happens in other sports all the time. What kind of sport do you watch where an opponent or a team quits if the score gets too lopsided? Is it a sport where it is theoretically possible win at any point no matter what the score at the moment is?

All I know is that if I throw in a towel I can't win. If I hang in there then MAYBE I can find a way to win, or the other guy will find a way to lose. I think Kalib did the right thing, and I don't understand the level of criticism he's been getting. As far as I am concerned, Nate completely outclassed him in that fight, and that's that.

I have to say that I was disapointed with the fight and even more disapointed with the attempted explination on here.

As many people have mentioned if you are a professional fighter then you might expect to get hit hard. Look at the beating your fellow canadian took on the same card, and he still kept fighting, still kept pushing himself still kept trying to win against all the odds even though he was totally dominated and hurt.

Lets make it clear I would run and cry like a girl before getting knocked out and wouldnt even think of getting into the cage but what you put "he hit hard", "I broke my foot", "I was nearly knocked out", all sound like excuses.

You are a great athlete no doubt, and I am just confused with the fight and your response.
