I didnt watch the fight,but from all this it seems that he "ran".So what?If he was getting mauled and could find a way to win,he was trying not to get KOed.Its the other guys fault for not finishing him and showing you a spectacular and bloody KO you wish to see.Im glad he didnt got KOed.

but a lot of these posters are right. You've did this a few times now - done something questionable and then later tried to rationalise it. Truth is I can sympathise, hell I would probably have did same thing. But im not a fighter, certainly not one with impressive wins over Leben and McDonald. There's no use you comparing yourself to normal people because you know full well the top fighters are ones with heart and bravery beyond most.

I dont dislike you at all - you don't deserve the abuse you've been getting - it should never get personal.

But please buddy, at the same time, don't try make this out as if you're completely in the right and that you acted the way fighters should. Don't try convince yourself of that - you takedown attempts were less than half-hearted as were any of your counter jabs. - admit you put in a bad performance and just admit you got caught in a cycle of back-pedaling that you wish you didn't now. I think thats the truth, no? Because most fighters have put in disappointing performances - i can respect that much.


My advice? Suck it up and work hard to prove your critics wrong, dont argue with them in attempt for them to see something most people won't ever agree with.

I think the point that's getting missed here in all this nut hugging is that this is his chosen profession. It isn't fight club, and it's not like some bully called him out and forced him to fight. It was his decision to do so. And people paid good money to be there in person and on pay per view. And he ran, for three rounds.

The criticism is warranted, just as football players and any other sports figures are fair game to the ticket buying fans. What is a running back fell down before he could get tackled on each play? Would you swing from his nuts if he came on here to explain his strategy in doing so? No, you would not.

And spare me the internet warrior bullshit. Just as he has a chosen profession, so do I. And I bet I'd come a lot closer to beating him at his game than he would at mine.

It was a terrible, terrible performance and hopefully will mark the end of his career, or at least mark the end of people putting up their hard earned money to see him run from a fight.

I am very surprised and impressed you would make a thread here explaining what happened.

I myself don't buy into the broken foot thing, if you were really that worried about your health and safety you should have thrown in the towel. actually you shouldn't have signed up to fight Nate Quarry in the first place if you are worried about getting injured or knocked out.

The Fighters, the organizers and all of the fans want to see someone like Forrest or Franklin or Randy that will continue to put on a great performance irrregardless of the injuries they sustain in the 15 minutes of fighting.

maybe you should look into a different line of work if you're gonna make comments like "I can't wait to jump back in there and fight for your amusement".

It's your choice, nobody's pushing you into the cage, if you don't like it there are other options.
