I'm glad to see Kalib posted a very reasonable response to all the crap he has gotten.

I'm no pro or amatuer fighter but I've been in the spot where no matter what you do you are fucked. The choice between manuevering so you do not recieve a massive concussion from a head hunter is not exciting but it's smarter than just running in there to get knocked out.

It hasn't happend yet but if you think beating the shit out of each other with 4 ounce gloves is not going to get someone killed one day you guys are very very wrong. I got to watch a kid get his head knocked off in a toughman contest (16 ounce gloves and headgear) and barely make it out of the ring, only to die 4 days later. I sat next to his family by pure chance and it was one of the saddest things i ever saw. The guy went out like a warrior though and I will never forget that.

Agreed. Had Kalib pulled up at the end of rd 1, we would have got to see another undercard fight that was actually worth watching. If it was me out there, I'd rather lose by conceding defeat by claiming that I could not continue rather than backpedal the way you did Kalib. Then again, it wasn't me out there. Each to their own, and all that.
