If you fight like a champ next fight, and show skill and heart, all is forgiven in this sport. I wouldn't be surprised to see you fight elsewhere given your career resume and notoriety you've gained.

That said, saying that Quarry was too strong, has a 80% knock out ration, hit too hard, and was hard to take down, aren't excuses for your bad performance, broken foot or not.

You knew who your opponent was, you knew what you were getting into. Maybe he was stronger and hit harder, but your in the same weightclass as the guy. You've got reach on him. If he's getting the best of the striking, you HAVE to change the fight into a ground and pound or something else.

haha they sound like reasons to me ..an excuse is coming on and saying his dog dies the day before the fight ...it takes alot of balls to say that someone's bigger stronger and fatser than you and even more brains to realize while fighting ..

Thanks for coming on Kalib. It takes courage to put yourself in front of the throngs and take whatever they throw at you. I saw the fight and even with your explanation i don't understand what you were doing. If you were so badly injured, then you should have not come out for the third and even more so, if you were so injured, it did not look like it the way you were managing to stay out of reach of Quarry. Your ropadope would make Ali proud. Secondly, you didn't look like you believed you could win the fight, like you were a beaten man. Even if you thought he would knock you out, it is a ridiculous position to take as a fighter. surely you have seen worse matchups than the one between you and Nate and the overmatched opponent doesn't decide for himself that he can no longer win and sometimes he actually beats the more highly trained or prepared fighter. We have all seen huge upsets like Crocop getting knocked out by high kick by Gonzaga. Should Gonzaga have danced because he didn't think he could stand with Crocop. If you didn't believe in yourself, you shouldn't have walked into the ring and as soon as you stopped believing it, you should have left because one punch is all it really takes and you didn't give yourself that chance, and in so doing, robbed the fans of that chance as well. You could have knocked Nate out...if you tried, but a fighter that decides the outcome before the clock is either stupid or a coward, and really it boils down to cowardice. Like Bo Cantrell vs. Kimbo, he basically started heading for the canvas before Kimbo even took a swing at him. What a ripoff. You also started heading for the track as soon as you felt you could no longer win. Never decide that for yourself because your opponent could make a mistake or could be hurt himself. So you just don't have either that right or the ability to decide the contest before time expires.

As a Canadian i tried particularly hard to root for you but you are a dissapointing fighter in that you didn't really come to fight but came to win only and once you decided you couldn't, you coasted to certain defeat. Fighters have been far more injured than you and continued and even won, but I've never heard a fighter admit he believed he couldn't win and that the other guy was so strong and impossible to take down, etc. It sounds like you joined the Nate Quarry fan club, not the bash Quarry's head in club, of which you should be the president. So sorry, i don't accept your explanation because there is none for not giving it 100%. You sound like a whiner too, like your surprised by people's reactions. Have you ever seen such a sad display. It rivaled Dan Severn vs. Kimo, except neither of them wanted to fight. You didn't even try to knock him out. Hey, take a few wild swings and hope you connect. That's what Quarry's last fight was like. That was a war and Quarry was lucky to come out on top because he believed he could, but it was not certain until the other guy could not get up, and so should it have been with you in your match. Seriously, you should give up fighting or see a sports psychologist because with your "misunderstood" attitude, the same type of thing is bound to happen again as soon as things start to go south on you.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion,monkey or not.That fact is if your performance was as good as you think it is.I am sure you will reap the rewards of it.If not you might not get paid $5000 to fight in a cage somewhere.Hell as far as that goes there's always" L TKO (Injury)" Then I get to watch possibly another "good" fight for my $600 a year UFC PPV contributions.

exactly, i dont think people understand the difference between reasons and excuses.

he admitted that he was beaten because the guy was too strong too power too fast hence why he was beaten. not an excuse a reason


excuse- he only beat me because i looked the other way and he punched me in the face and knocked me out
