You would never hear anything like this out of Wand's mouth. Or Forrest's. Or Nog's. Or...the list goes on. If at any point a fighter decides his goal is to constantly backpedal just in order to avoid getting knocked out, he should give a verbal tap. Period. With a gameplan like that, the "fight" in the truest sense of the word is over. Running out the clock (literally) is insulting to the fans who paid hard-earned money to see a f-i-g-h-t.

I'm not a fighter. I've never been a fighter. None of that matters, because the situation is simple.

The market allowing MMA fighters to do what they love for a living exists because of the fans. You, the fighter, are the provider of services; the fans are the consumers. If you can't provide what the consumer wants to pay for, you're in the wrong business.

truthfully man....if you had fought as hard in the octagon as you are now trying to save face we wouldn't be here talking about all this nonsense.

you have a ton of ability and would love to see how dangerous you can be when your focused.

you disappointed a lot of fans with your performance but hey...you're the one who has to look in the mirror every day.

As it stands, I have read "official" versions of you breaking your foot anywhere from the frst kick of the fight, to the second round.

And I have several friends that are pro fighters at the highest level that I know would rather go down losing a fight that was considered exciting, than winning a boring fight.

Like "us" fans or not...without us watching, you wont be paid. I am not being disrespectful, as anyone that gets in the ring has bigger balls than I, but if I buy a PPV with a price-tag that would cost the average MMA fan a few hours of work, I want to be assured that those hours I spent working to pay for it were worth it.

But then I pretty much grew into the sport in Japan where it is the performance, not the result, that is considered so important.
