Don't most employers pay those who do their jobs well? The better you are at what you do (in MMA, that means winning and being excited) the more you'll be rewarded for it, hopefully. That's just how it is. MMA isn't on the level of a sport like Major League Baseball where guys sign guaranteed deals and get paid regardless of their performance. I have no doubt the UFC is paying fighters less than they would in a perfect world. But that's the business side of the sport and it won't change until they're forced to change. Most corporations don't hand out money to employees unless they have to.

Thanks for explaining your reasoning in depth. I still think more of an effort should have been put forth to take the fight to the ground. Seems you made up your mind early on that you were there to survive and go home unscathed rather than win.

Quarry is a good fighter, but you talk about him like he's Anderson Silva. You're just as talented as Quarry, if not more, on paper. No reason you should have felt so inferior.

Anyway, good luck in the future. Change of scenary will probably be very good for you.

What I saw in that fight was a guy instituting a game plan that failed, and then not being able to switch it up. It happens. It did look pretty bad though.

I hope your next fight is great. Elite and such are picking up guys and paying them, hope you can get in on that.
