Sorry, bad example. I only saw the highlights, made it look like the typical A.Silva demolition, but he was in trouble when he got that takedown heel lock. In any case, the point is still valid. You stick in there and give it your all, you never know what could happen. Scott Smith was done, and he just threw one last punch, got the KO on Pete Sell.

Kalib,

First, thank you for posting. It's good to hear your viewpoint, and yes, this has been blown out of all proportion (great threat title, by the way). Unfortunately, no matter what the reasons, no matter how logical an argument, it will be almost impossible to overturn the visual of you backing away from Quarry through the fight.

If you watch the fight, iespecially the first time, it LOOKS like you are just running away and avoiding any combat, even when Quarry was just swinging his arm back and forth. With no understanding of why, that very unique image will, unfortunately, be in many minds for a long time, and is worth more than a thousand words.

I hope you recover from your injuries and make a great comeback in MMA - at least we fans have short memories, and a great fighter that wins get forgiven almost anything.
