I'm not sure what to say. This fight has brought me to many different opinions and thoughts along the way.

1. I sorta feel for the way guys at your level are paid. On the other hand, if I wasn't getting paid enough in my job I'd have to find a new one.

2. If you break a bone and you cannot engage your opponent, stop between rounds. We've seen this countless times and those fighters weren't thrown under the bus like you were.

3. The less this is talked about, the sooner it dies and you can move on with your life. Eveyone makes a mistakes.

Good thread, its great to hear a fighters point of view, especially one such as yourself who has recently come off a tough loss and a performance that was criticised by all and sundry, including your boss (Dana White)..

I can fully appreciate why you didnt perform to the satisfaction of the fans but you must understand that to watch the fight was frustrating because you didnt seem to want to fight at all? Obviously youve explained that Nate was very strong etc, but he's not that much better than you surely? Is the gulf between fighters that big?

its a tough position to be in i suppose e.g. not wanting to quit and trying to avoid a big KO- why didnt you just throw the towel in once your foot had broken?

What are your plans for the future? Stay with the UFC or move on?
