If you can't fight standing, and can't took him to the ground because of the broken foot, why dont you throw in the towel end of first round and give up?

You mentioned that Nate has heavy hands and almost KO you, thats why you keep running around. Is that your strategy for your future fights too? Just keep running away if your opponents have heavy hands.......

I understand that Kalib had a plan to stick and move and it didn't work.

Where I fault Kalib is sticking to the plan when he knew he couldn't win a decision and just chose to "take less damage"

I think if you want to be a fighter you need to have heart. few examples

Leben (guy Kalib beat) vs Martin- Leben tried to stick and move vs the heavy hitting martin. Late in the fight leben was rocked and behind on the scorecards yet he showed amazing heart and ended up scoring a KO. I belive he won some bonuses, a nice raise in his next contract, and a lot of fans after that fight. I dont think his heart earned him any brain damage. Although he might already have some lol

Irvin vs Martin
Irvin was losing. He was being taken down and dominated. Instead of running away and avoiding the takedowns he went for broke and threw a flying knee at the start of round 2 and scored himself a victory, a ko, some fans, and probably some $$$$$

Quarry (the guy Kalib ran from) vs Sell

Quarry had been laid out as bad as anyone in his previous fight. He gets rocked early vs Sell and continues to stand in there and bang. Sell is getting the better of the exchange and is messing Quarry up pretty good and has it on the judges scorecards. Showing heart in the third round Quarry lands a big shot and wins the fight. (and probably a nice bonus)

Shonie Carter vs Serra

another good example

I think to be a successful fighter (or any sort of athlete) you need heart. If you decide that you don't want to risk getting hit for 5 minutes and don't try to win then you have no heart (wich is unfortunate considering your career path). If you had a gameplan to stick n move and you stuck with it even though it wasnt working and now realize that it was a mistake, and that you wouldn't do it next time, then good luck to you in the future.
