That's what I said going into the Starnes / Leben fight. I figured Starnes would look good in the first round, but being unable to put Leben away would get out-hearted and outworked and lose the fight. I'm tempted to say Starnes will get out-hearted in this one, too, but you never know.

That looks like a decent bet, hopefully Starnes' cut from the Belcher fight has healed OK! That thing was vicious. Doctor: "I can see his skull im stopping it".

i liked starnes coming off the show, but the problem with this fight is that quarry has a huge heart, he's a warrior, starnes has no heart, he's just an athletic guy doing a hobby

Do it. Quarry was losing to Sell in the last fight until the knockout, and sell doesnt have a technical striking game, he just goes for power (besides, he is 1-5 in the UFC). If Quarry had that hard of a time against Sell, he'll have a tougher time against Kalib, especially with Quarry's back injury. Kalib has been training with the American Top Team for quite some time, and everyone at ATT keeps showing better and better striking and overall game.
I think betting on Kalib is a great call.

* still wondering where Quarry got his hype from in the first place *
take those odds ( which are ridiculously unfair to Starnes, or much too gracious for Quarry ).
Has anyone really looked at Nate's last 2 fights?

Starnes is a good bet, just hope he doesn't break any bones during the fight because he'll prob throw in the towel.

Leben just struggles with guys that have big reach over him, like MacDonald, Starnes, and A.sil.
