Just let Pride die and bring all the fighters to the UFC

It looks like Pride isn't doing shit within the next months. Some fighters are in their prime and shouldn't wait several months or a year before fighting again.

Are we going to wait a whole year to see what's going on, then, maybe, Pride will make another show (or not)? That would be a disaster for some fighters (and the fans).

The UFC should start putting Pride fighters on their cards. F#ck what they say about keeping it "like it was". Obviously, it doesn't work. They can do the cards in Japan for all I care if they want to keep them there.

They were supposed to do a show in June in California and he LW GP in July. But nothing has been posted yet so I dont know what is going on, but so far it seems that the Pride takeover has been mismanaged. There are rumours that there are problems with the deal going through. Regardless they should update the fans on what is going on regardless.

I recently watched a video interview with Shogun that said Pride isnt doing a show in June and that he may fight on the UFC Ireland card.

I want all the best fighters in the UFC. I don't care if Pride stays around but put all the big name fighters and contenders in the UFC!

To spend 65 million just to grab fighters? Not a very good investment. They could have let it die (and it was withoug a TV contract) and picked up the fighters that way (much cheaper than 65 mil)

My guess is that the UFC wont have a show in Japan until a TV deal is signed.

UFC always had the potential to do cards with more than one top fight and they never did it, why would they start doing it now?

They do need to do something very soon or at least make an announcement for their future plans. I disagree w/ bringing every fighter into the UFC. Hopefully the new owners are working on a plan to keep Pride similar to what it was while offering great fights for the fans and making money at the same time.

agree. just want to see the dream matchups happen.

would rather see one or two great fights each month than 10 or 15 in one end of year event.

nothing to stop them doing a major event anyway...

The fighters and the market. The brand name Pride itself doesn't worth much so UFC Japan with Pride fighters or Pride Japan with the same fighters is pretty much the same shit with unified rules and all.
