So in mma we have seen good and bad from just about all stylists that come in...
Hidehiko Yoshida...a 'retired' world judoka comes in and in just.....3 mma fights....goes good vs #1 Wanderlei Silva. Impressive.
Yoon Dong-Sik.... a 'retired' world judoka comes in and in just ...3 mma fights... can 'hang' with Rampage Jackson. Not bad.
Pawel Nastula....a 'retired' world judoka comes in and in just...3 mma fights...makes 'matches' with Nogueira and Aleks Emelianenko and defeats a 9-0 BTT prospect rather easily. Hmmmm...
Judo has its losses, but would any veteran answer if they think that any other type of straight stylist can make an impact like that? Not trying to start it up but regardless those have to be decent stats that cannot be so easily overlooked and seems to make clear on any who are still interested in 'bases comparison' for fun on the side.
P.S. None of the above can strike worth shit still...
Fedor, Akiyama, Lombard, Nakamura, Karo and more.....all very, very cool.

And quite promising.
No denying as well that the best in mma is a russian judo champ with fantastic strong, basic striking skills.
Take any other base and they actually have to complete their own domain before moving into (striking/grappling) except judo. Generally.
