I find it very interesting that Fitch's people were able to go over Dana's head and whats more Fertita was willing to accomodate them.

Even though UFC got what they wanted Dana may be the loser in this due to the fact that he clearly failed to handle the situation and Fitch gets the moral victory by getting thed respect he wanted from higher up in the org.

The thing is that it's usually a bad sign when you can't work with your boss, but have to go to the owners in order to work something out. I'm not just talking about the UFC, where Tito had to work something out with Lorenzo, but in general.

If you have to go the owners, someone will feel left out - usually demanding a bit of extra respect somehow.

Summary of events as I see it:

1. AKA dislikes how Dana requests favors from fighters with his take it or leave tone. Decides to stall just to see how child Dana will throw his tantrum.

2. Dana throws his tantrum...goes on the radio and seems to make good on his threats.

3. Daddy Fertitta vetoes and tells little Dana to settle down...

It's pretty revealing that AKA's biggest complaint was that Dana acts like a douche bag, and Dana only response was to turn the douchometer to 11. Also revealing that Dana is pretty much put in his place. Can't wait to see how Dana spins all of this on his next video blog.

Fitch seems lie a real cool headed guy. This is just another example of Dana White not treating his fighters with the respect they deserve.
