Im sure Mcain is over the whole UFC thing, he wanted to ban it before it got established rules, sactions from various states, and a much larger following which in turn gives economic and political clout.
it doesnt really matter because the republicans would never nominate him. they hate him.

McCain is threatened by mma for one reason
He was a former boxer, he loves it like we love mma, and he has spent many years trying to help the sport including trying to start a program to get money to retired boxers which is a good thing, but hes also trying to help boxing by torpedoing MMA.... he does this because hes a 2 faced politician

Sen. McCain will likely be the Republican candidate for president; however, he is going to be because he appeals to both sides of the spectrum due to his very moderate political stances in most things.
Get you facts straight before you post nonsense about people, whether they are a fighter or not, its still common courtesy to post facts rather than make up bullshit or post 7 year old opinions that are completely out of context.

I have the facts right! this isnt bullshit mccain has disagreed with mma ever since he first saw it, mccain sent letters to all 50 state govenors trying to ban all mma, mccain said it was barbaric and he compared it to human cock fighting, and i didnt say shit about if i was going to vot for him or not

His position has changed since the NJ and NV athletic commissions have approved it. He's still not a fan of the sport but was happy about the "safty issues" that were addressed and it's no longer on his radar.

Maybe...or is it the fact that he is to liberal on social issues. The republican base will never let him out of the primaries.

I don't know if McCain is still Anti MMA, but there are still people wanting to ban it.
The funny thing is that more people died this year after running the Toronto Marathon than have died in all of MMA.
And we all know Boxers have more long term injuries and problems.
Ignorant assholes all of them!
