John McCain isn't all that bad other than his push against MMA. As has already been said, he'll have bigger things to worry about(Iraq) than MMA. He'd also get much more resistance this time now that MMA has grown in popularity. Plus, he's a better than the possible alternative of Hilary Clinton. So, I'm not worried that McCain will mess with MMA.

McCain is one of the very, very, very few repub's that i can barely tolerate, but i disagree with him on a variety of issues, MMA of course. I wont vote for him, but i dont really like hillary, she wants to pass anti-videogame laws. fuck it, i guess it is like that "school election" episode of South Park, "It's always an asshole or a giant douche."

McCain is a faux Republican. He pretends to be conservative but votes liberal on nearly every issue. When it comes to MMA, the guy swings back to the conservative side just for the sake of keeping his base happy. He'll vote wich ever way the wind blows. Anybody that actually votes for this moron is an idiot.

I would like to think that the president of the US would have bigger fish to fry than MMA, which is at this time still a niche sport that is working to become mainstream.

Surely by banning MMA, pro wrestling would come under the microscope, as should boxing, high school football, and amatuer. They have all had actual deaths in the sport in the US in the last decade for one reason or another...where does it end??

I'd rather have McCain in office than Hillary "It goes against Jesus to enforce immigration laws" Clinton. Unless you can pull up a recent article (i.e., not 1996) about McCain's stance on MMA, then don't use it to campaign against him. So much has happened in mixed martial arts since 1996; it has been one whole decade. Now, the UFC is sponsored on Spike TV, airs pay-per-views almost every month, and has made some huge signings in the past year.
