John Howard VS Dennis Hallman -- Your thoughts?
Thoughts on this match up? Who ya got?
I have a feeling that most people will assume that Howard walks away with this one with ease, but I'm not so sure. He should come in as the favorite due to the fact that he's younger and has been facing higher-level competition, but Hallman's on a 5 fight win streak including 4 first round subs. On the other hand, the competition he's been facing is less than stellar, with his last 5 opponents having a combined record of 35-28.
One thing I've noticed watching Howard's fights though are that:
1. He doesn't seem to have KO power.
2. His TD defense is really iffy.
3. Once he gets taken down he has issues getting back to his feet.
Hallman's only 33 and he has a ton of experience, so if I could get good enough odds then I'd put a small bet on him.

For some reason I was having old UFC flashbacks and thought it was *Harold* Howard.

This would be a good co headliner at the Midwest Fighting Championship "Rumble in the Ozarks".

John's not great on the feet. He doesn't suck, but he's definitely no stand-up specialist (despite a MT background) and he doesn't really have KO power. (Out of 12 wins he has 1 KO and a TKO.) He's only been subbed once, though.

well thats good for Dennis then, I see him taking him to the ground and subbing him. Last I heard was that Dennis started taking cardio serious so I wish the best for him.
