Jeremy Williams baby, Jeremy Williams! "Half Man, Half Amazing"

You heard the man praise Jeremy Williams during his UFC.com post fight interview!

I told you that Jermey William's (The Boxer) was one of Jackson's most important sparring partner's!

Jeremy Wiliams is a better fist fighter than Chuck in every department..

I knew that if Rampage could get solid competitive sparring with Williams then Chuck was in for a very tough fight!

This is not a boxing vs mma reply but if it had been Jeremy Williams fighting Chuck last night you would have seen a 'MMA' fighter with world class boxing skills take apart the Iceman like no other mma fighter could.

I say MMA fighter because Williams has been training pure mma now for a few years and is no longer a pro boxer. People do not call Cro Cop a K1 fighter anymore so Williams should not be considered a boxer. Like Cro Cop he added to his strong striking skills but unlike Cro Cop he had a background in Judo/Wrestling/Kickboxing before going into training mma full time.

Expect big things from Williams should he keep training the way he is and should he come to the UFC, not because he was a pro boxer but because he is a mma fighter with pro boxing level hands.

I dunno about that. Maybe he's just a good training partner. I saw his last against an out of shape can that he should have KO'ed, yet couldn't land any good strikes and got taken down.

I saw that fight as well...hard to KO someone who will not trade with you and yes he got taken down but he did not get taken out.

I tend to agree. I think if you wanted to see an MMA vs. Boxing fight, a fighter like Chuck would be the last guy you'd want to represent MMA--he'd be outmatched in standup against a top light heavyweight boxer, and Chuck isn't known for his takedowns and submissions if he were losing the standup.

While Williams has not fought quality mma fighters and even though he has won all his mma fights (not looking that good in winning) I feel fighting a quality fighter would bring out the quality in Williams.

Chuck is a fighter that would bring out the best in Williams because he would stand and trade with him. Williams trains full time in mma but his strong point will always be his hands and any fighter willing to stand and trade with him at the 205 weight class would be in deep.

Yup I was saying that as well once I found out Page was training with J. Will.

I mean its like this when you train day in and day out with a former world heavy weight boxing contender like Williams and then for one night you face a kickboxer that no longer kicks it makes for a easy night.

Plus add that to the fact that while Page might not be the same intense slampage machine we saw ealier in his career durnig the liddell 1 days but he is a much much better striker. I just saw no way that Liddell (a kickboxer that only stands and trades punches with you and never kicks anymore) could win.
