Sakakibara: I feel kind of sad to marry off my "daughter," but that's better than making PRIDE a second-rate show, which would no longer be PRIDE.

that was an amazing read...I hope the UFC does run them separately and keeps it the way it is...that was depressing to read I'm speechless...

Very good read, thanks.

I can't help but trust in everything what he says, because he's so spirited about the sport and this shines through every word of him.- Probably a bit blue eyed.

Still he did lots for the sport and we haven't realised yet how much that was.
Takada and Sakuraba were the big drawing figures who made MMA popular but it was his vision and work which made it all possible.

I hope to see him coming back to the industry sometime.

There is a slight exaggeration in your description (maybe bad translation), but that indeed rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. But he said those things in a totally "Fight Club" (the novel and movie) sort of way. It was inappropariate, but you should stop picking on him on those petty things at this point, mate.

i dont think he meant it in a sadistic way. lost in translation i guess..

anyhow reading this makes me wish he wasnt leaving..he seems so passionate about pride and those are the type of people that need to be running these orgs. i like that he mentioned that the fertitas got into mma after seing a pride ppv..who woulda thunk it..
