We've seen this type of thing with Hughes before when he fought Verissimo. He won a lackluster decision, and look what kind of fighter Verissimo is. Matt Hughes might be behind the times, but he clearly beat Lytle by lay-and-pray and I'm not ready to count him out yet.

Hughes could prolly still lay n pray a win out against Shields at the very least. I think he would still look pretty dominant against him. Hughes is getting old but he is still pretty high up on the food chain.

I love Shields but what a ***got disrespectful thing to say about one the greatest champs the sport has had.

I really hope Hughes wins next time out to show that's he's not done.
