jake shields is a great prspect and a great fighter. but he has no right to talk shit about hughes.

Matt Hughes helped make the UFC and mma what it is today. What has Jake Shields done?

Dont be stupid, it would be good fight and anything can happen in MMA but I see a long night for Jake. Before putting Jake vs. Matt, I think of more lucrative fights with Matt Hughes before seeing this happen. Hughes vs. Serra, Alves, Diego, Fitch even Penn.

I've met Jake and it seems to me like he would like to forget the contract he signed with EliteXC and would much rather be fighting in the UFC. His talent and personality IMO is better served with a more professional environment. Elitexc is not filling his need for competition that along with the promotion of Kimbo has made me feel like he isn't looking into being the star of the WW division that they'd like him to be.. Granted one day and a huge paycheck could kill those feelings but i sensed that he feels as long as he is in Elitexc he will not get the career highlight figts he's looking for..

It'd be a good fight. I'm a Sheilds fan & believe he could beat Hughes, but it would definitely be a good fight...I wouldn't expect Hughes to just get dominated.

Sheilds is Dana Whites wet dream and it is ironic that he can't have him....YET.
