After the last event and others this year is it finally enough for the fanboys to take an objective view at each fight and give each fighter a chance not only on there merits but the miriad of other chances that go into winning an mma fight?

Will this be the end of the 100% certainty crew out there? No of course not there is another idiot born every second but have your pick, explain your reasoning, even if its just your favourite fighter and let others have theres, dont flame them because the triangle logic says there guy has no chance.

There is one more big cheese to fall before the wheel has turned full circle, then maybe i wont have to read every second thread about some cyborg or terminator or some shit in mma.

Overrating and underrating fighters is what so many do around here, even the 'educated' fall prey to this idiotic blunder.

I always try to step back and realize who I'm rooting for and who has a better chance at winning. It's hard not to favor the guy I'm rooting for sometimes, but I certainly didn't think Randy would take it and I was rooting for him all the way. Serra too, but I like GSP alot too. I still thought Randy and Matt would get trounced.

I'm pretty tired of the "Does (Fighter A) have a chance against (Fighter B)?" threads. If the last few months doesn't get people to realize that these days pretty much anyone has a chance against anyone- then nothing will. You don't make it to the level of Pride/UFC without being skilled and conditioned enough to have a CHANCE. When you're talking about a couple of top 20 guys, forget about it. Anything can happen in there.

I agree. Its almost a subconscious action to overrate and underrate fighters, and unless you are really trying to love or hate someone, you are bound to do it.
