His striking is great, and the fact that nobody knows about his wrestling or jiu jitsu is a very VERY good thing. That means all his striking he has done and his finishes/knock outs are all he's ever had. That means when he needs to open up his wrestling/bjj storage then his opponents will be caught off guard big time.

WELCOME TO SHERDOG!
The only place where having impressive wins immediately makes you overrated.

Right now, all that we know about his ground game is that he's got good trainers, but is that enough to make him a top ten?
I really don't understand what he's doing so high.

He is ranked just right. who else should be in front of him?
And why doesn't anyone give him credit for the Cro Cop fight? Before that fight most people were talking about how Cro Cop was going to kill him.
Everyone gives Overeem credit because he was beating Cro Cop in their fight. But why not JDS.

My vote also goes to rated just right. A lot of people realize the potential, so I don't think he is underrated, but at the same time many people refuse to give him credit no matter who he beats, so I don't think he is overrated.
I'm picking him to be a monster in a few years personally.

So you would be more afraid of Kongo? A fighter who you know has a bad ground game, instead of a fighter who you think might have a bad ground game. Even though he trains with fighters who have great ground games.

i think hes a little overrated by tools. not really because he makes himself seem important or even ufc hype, just dumbass fans. i think he can prove to be a very good fighter but has a way to go. several good fights should do it, all wins. its kinda like with machida, people see machida beat a couple guys, never having watched him before, then he gets turned into this new-age royce by idiots. not as strong with jds tho
