It's intresting, I read a similar interview from a veteran fighter who had his sights set on Anderson, I think his name was Quint "The shark Hunter" something. I dont really recall, here's part of the interveiw though;

(Quint apparently had a title fight against Silva in a smaller promotion)

Didn't see the first shot for about a half a minute. Jab. Seemed like a 13-footer. You know how you know that when you're in the ring, Chief? You tell by looking from the tip of the fist to the shoulder. What we didn't know, was our title fight had been so secret, no distress signal had been sent. They didn't even list us overdue for a week. Very first round, Chief, Silva come's cruisin', so we formed ourselves into tight groups. You know, it was kinda like old squares in the battle like you see in the calendar named "The Battle of Waterloo" and the idea was: Anderson Silva comes to the nearest man, that man he starts poundin' and hollerin' and screamin' and sometimes Silva would go away... but sometimes he wouldn't go away. Sometimes that champion, he looks right into ya. Right into your eyes. And, you know, the thing about Anderson Silva... he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be living... until he knee's ya, and those black eyes roll over white and then... ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin'. You're vision turns red, and despite all the poundin' and the hollerin', he comes in kneein an punchin and then... rips you to pieces.

I can't believe you bothered to transcribe that much of the monologue from Jaws. I hope you copy and pasted that at least.

HighHeadKick, thanks for the clip. I wish I could have seen what Rivera saw. Man, that has to be demoralizing.

Clearly pasted. If I did it myself I'd have inserted waaaaaay to many "out there....in the water..."s

Not that he every actually says that, but for some reason it seemed appropriate.

I think if he tries to go up to LHW, he could possibly be KO'ed, especially if he's exhausted and doesn't see the shot coming. Rampage, Wand and Chuck hit VERY HARD. Shogun vs Anderson in the clinch would be sick. Maybe knees to the dome is the only way?

Melvin would be a great fight but he'd get exposed if it hit the ground.

That video is impressive. After Okami, it will be interesting to see who the UFC brings in.

Kinda reminds me of the movie Big Trouble in Little China when Kurt Russell punches one of the storms in the face twice, and when the guy doesn't even flinch he knows he's fucked, so he just smiles and nods before he gets launched through a doorway by the guy.
