Inside MMA HDnet, did you notice..

That tonight is the first episode and that Chuck Lidell is a guest?

I was surprised that the UFC poster boy would appear on a program that Cuban (who now compete's with the UFC) produces.

Any thoughts? Are you going to watch?

I would love to watch it, but I don't get HDNet. Hopefully someone puts it up on the internet. I can't imagine Dana being too happy about it.

I bet they broadcast it on the internet, since that's what made all of Marks money.

Check the HDnet website and see...

Cuban says that he is not in compition with UFC.
I don't understand how you couldn't be though if you are promoting the same product as them.
But if you want people to watch your show, you have to give them somthing to watch, thus being Liddell.

Why does that surprise you? UFC has always been good about working with competition and getting exposure. Look how many of the UFC stars go to the small venues accross the US and promote themselves. it get both the UFC and the fighter new fans.

I was kind of shocked at this too. Mainly since Cuban has announced his own brand of MMA. Which if anyone doesn't think it competes with the UFC your dead wrong. It may not compete in the short run but you can't tell me Cuban doesn't want to build it up to be as big as the UFC. If your talking about signing Fedor you're going against the UFC.

Should also be interesting to see if there is any UFC clips used on it.

I've been saying it for months on here the UFC should do joint venture with ESPN on a weekly MMA news show.

Alot of that has to do with that fighter getting paid by the local promotion not really the UFC saying go out and promote yourself and the UFC. I doubt the UFC has ever told any of its fighters to go to another promotion to do marketing for the UFC. It all comes down to more money in fighter "x's" pocket.
