....because if Randys HUGE right in the opening seconds lead to a victory via knockout, most people would be claiming that Randy only won due to a 'lucky' punch!

Im thinking this because Randlemans awesome KO of Mirko is just put down to a 'lucky' punch, and not a well timed punch that could have KO'ed a bull (which it clearly was!)

I think Randy winning by a 5 round domination session made the victory that more sweeter

(this isnt meant to be a Sylvia bashing threrad either because hes still an amazing fighter, tbh this loss may change him for the better also)

I thought the exact same thing, although at the time I wanted Randy to finish it right then and there I am very glad that he dominated the fight 5 rounds and showed he is a much more skilled fighter. If the fight would have ended in the first 15 seconds we wouldn't hear the end of it about it being a lucky punch. Randleman vs. Cro Cop all over again. (Although I do think of Randlemans win over Cro Cop as a lucky punch)

I see it has more of a legitimate win because it was the GnP after the punch that finished CC

when randy dropped sylvia i thought he would finish him off and get a stoppage...but yeah he dominated sylvia for 5 rounds...nothing lucky about that at all...fantastic fight by randy

Yeah, Randy just built up momentum but big Tim lost it! That look on Tims face when he was recovering from the punch was a look of sheer confusion and terror!

I still cant believe that Randy stood toe-to-toe with Tim, the guy is crazy but with balls of steel

Agreed. If it had ended when he first dropped Sylvia we would not have gotten to see Randy juke and jive past Sylvia's punches and throw awesome combos. It was great to watch how well Randy executed his game plan. Thank God Sylvia has a good chin and recovered or we would have been robbed of a stellar performance.

Randys bobbing n weaving was like a world class boxer......what a man...what a f*cking fight!!
