i always hear fighters and such ripping on "the stupid internet fans"

but really, isnt the opposite true? where else can one get in depth information about the sport? is there a magazine? is there a tv show that i dont know about?

in other words, what are some other sources of mma news that you would find out things like:

ufc vs ifl lawsuit.
ufc payscales
fighter injury reports ie shogun/franklin etc
ifl starter rosters
fighter moves..frank shamrock going to pride
dana white threatening milletich
etc

so in conclustion, if you arent on the internet, you dont know shit about mma.

When fighters rip on "internet fans" they are talking about the fans that post all day long on message boards (much like this one) calling fighters overrated and past their prime. I mean there is a thread on Tito looking like an ape on the front page for christs sake.

The fighters are bashing the 15 year olds on here that say stuff like"he is so on the juice" and "Dana White doesnt pay the fighters well enough" or "Fedor is overated" or Fedor is ducking cro-cop".

When it comes to those matters let me say this.

ufc vs ifl lawsuit. - Who really gives a shit.
ufc payscales - Who cares it doesn't change the outcome of the fights
fighter injury reports ie shogun/franklin etc - I can see injuries in the ring
ifl starter rosters - woopty doo
fighter moves..frank shamrock going to pride - Rumors I'll believe when he's on the PPV
dana white threatening milletich - Who really cares again only 1/2 the story.
etc

What really matters in MMA is who fights who and who won. That's it. All this payscale and lawsuit crap doesn't matter. Most fans have access to the internet but they don't go on forums. They probably go to event websites. But sure this is nice for discussion purposes but the "internet fanbase" makes up about 1% of the UFC viewing aiduience.

I pretty much agree with you. The internt is a tool that can bring more information to you, faster than anything out there.

I have loved MMA since the first UFC and I like to know "everything" about it; good, bad, ugly, right, wrong or indifferent

Riddick is probably not even 12 yet. (He's the nob who put the Tito ape thing up). Idiots like that should be instantly banned. They drag the site down and give us all a bad name.
