If Timmeh beats Randy, will he be hated more or respected more?

personally, i won't gain respect for sylvia if he beats a 43 year old man coming out of retirnment who has had trouble with big guys in the past. that doesn't prove anything in my book.

sylvia said that his next couple fights will be where his legend is made. (couture and filopovic)

he thinks that if he beats a symbol (captain america/couture) then he will therefore gain some of that symbol... that legend. he is wrong.

tito beat the living hell out of shamrock 3 times which merely made him look like he was fighting some old dude to help dana out with ratings. pitiful.

i hope to god that randy beats sylvia so i won't have to hear this in every interview "i'm number 1 in the world, i beat randy couture. WHAT'S UP NOW!?!? BRING ON FEDOR!!"

by the same token I don't think he should get any hate either. You fight who they tell you to fight. Sylvia's shit talking doesn't help but a lot of guys do it so whatever.

I think Tim's in a weird middle ground right now, he is generally disliked but he's in everyone's top 5. He acts like he's #1 and nothing he's done so far has shown that. He also has shown too much caution in his recent fights after being one of the more aggresive strikers out there.

Sylvia still has a lot to prove, and by God Filipovic is going to make him prove it.

It depends on how he does it. If he does it in Monson fashion hell no but if he does it in AA fight number 2 fashion yes

depends if he stops randy or not and makes it exciting. i personally respect tim as a fighter though anyway

on a side note, anyone think it was a little bit disrespectful for Savage to keep calling him "Timmy" or is it common for people to address tim as timmy?
