If GSP loses to Hughes again....

Where would he go from there? He is undoubtedly the #1 contender and if he loses, will the UFC just keep having GSP fight and beat everyone else but Hughes? What do you guys think?

If he loses to Hughes, then wins, he stays. If he loses twice in a row (unlikely) then he gets dropped a la Trigg.

I think he should move up to 85 and challenge Franklin. One of them can only run the division. GSP is a monster 170lber. He could carry that extra 15 lbs. no problem.

He'll beat the next 4-5 up an comers looking to fight Hughes and they'll give him another shot or he'll fight at 185.

I'm hoping that the UFC still keeps him around. That guy is damned exciting to watch fight.

Then it would not be up to the UFC, but up to him personally. I don't think he would quit trying to win Matt. He's unfortunately Canadian, but he is a warrior none the less.

He should just move up to 185 when he loses again.

Nobody will ever beat Hughes again, he will retire a golden god of MMA.
